The material composition of the release film usually includes three parts: substrate, coating and additive.
First, the substrate
The substrate is the main body of the release film, and its main role is to provide the physical and chemical properties of the release film. Common substrates are polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyester film (PET), polyether film (PEEK), polyimide film (PI) and so on.
PTFE is a kind of polymer material, which has excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other properties, and is one of the most widely used substrates in release films. PET and PEEK are transparent polyester film and polyether film, with excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance, widely used in electronics, medical and other fields. PI is a kind of high temperature, high strength, high rigidity polyimide film, with excellent high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and other properties, widely used in aviation, aerospace and other fields.
Second, coating
The coating is a key part of the release film, and its main function is to improve the surface performance and service life of the release film. Common coatings are silicone oil coating, fluoride coating, silicone coating and so on.

3. Additives
Additive is the auxiliary material of release film, its main function is to improve the performance and service life of release film. Common additives are antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, fillers and so on.
